Jesus tells his disciples that ” I came not to do my will but to do the will of my Father in Heaven.” John 6:38
Many books have been written about purpose. One that comes to mind is Rick Warren’s famous book: A Purpose Driven Life. Just last summer I went on this quest with God searching for my purpose, call and destiny. I found out quite a few things these past months.
1. I started homeschooling my younger children. I thought as an educator I would not do such a thing. 3 years so far .
2. I started my own ministry/ business. Never thought I was organized enough to run a business.
3. I’m blogging! I’m speaking! I’m encouraging others to pursue their passion.
The funny thing about all of this is I use to play teacher, use to write plays, poems and books. Love to talk and express my thoughts and I am a driven leader but back then I was called “bossy”.
My purpose was staring at me for years but I had such horrific experiences I knew tat it could not be these things.
My former pastor said “If you don’t know the purpose of a thing you will abuse it”. Psst……..go to God and ask him what were you created to do? Share with me or someone else you trust.
